Drive from Dromore West towards Lough Easkey along the ‘Lake Road’ and take in some of the most beautiful views in Sligo. When you reach the lake, the Lough Easkey Loop walk is an enjoyable walk around the lake, suitable for all levels of fitness.
Knocknashee is located about 30 km southwest of Sligo town. A hilltop fort is situated on the summit and provides walkers with striking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Enjoy a scenic walk around the country roads of Tubbercurry. The short walk which brings you through the outskirts of the town, is also called ‘Lover’s Lane’.
The River Walk at Coolaney is a relaxing river and road walk which forms a circuit through the countryside of Coolaney. The village sits at the foot of the Ox Mountains with the river Owen Beg running through it.
Mass Rock at Masshill is about 10 Km from Tubbercurry. Mass rock is located on the side of a hill with magnificant views of the valley. It was the local site for gatherings to say mass during penal times when the practice of Roman Catholicism was forbidden.
