In South and West Sligo we are lucky to have the option of sea, river, woodland, hill or mountain walk ways. There is a trail or walk for people of all ages and fitness levels. Get the family out and about at the weekends to enjoy the fresh air and stunning scenery.

Union Wood is a large area of mixed forestry located between Coolooney, Ballygawley and Ballisodare. The wood has a range of walking trails through diverse and interesting woodland. It leads to Union Rock where, after a short climb you can enjoy its panorama of the North West of Ireland.
Aughris Head- follow the coastal path to the west which runs along Aughris Head and provides stunning views over the dramatic landscape shaped by the Atlantic.
Easkey Pier offer scenic views over the Atlantic taking in the Slieve League and Benbulben mountains. Continue walking around the rugged coastline and along Easkey River.
Dive off Enniscrone Pier or take a walk on Enniscrone beach which stretches for 5km and is one of the safest and cleanest beaches in Ireland.
Enjoy a scenic walk around the shores of the picturesque Lough Talt which is home to a diverse range of bird life including wild ducks and swans.
Lough Easkey trail- Starting from the carpark this remote nature trail crosses blanket bog with a mixture of forest tracks, laneways and minor roads, leading walkers into the Ox Mountains with stunning lakeshore views from part of the Sligo Way.
