Teresa Cawley Krebs from Cawley’s of Tubbercurry explains what MySligo means to her, “I love being outdoors – especially near the waterways. The freedom, the tranquillity, the scenery. This is what Sligo means to me. #MySligo”

Cawley’s Guesthouse is a family run establishment located in Tubbercurry and ran by Teresa and Pierre. The guesthouse has 14 spacious rooms, a restaurant, a bar, an outside terrace, banqueting and meeting room facilities. Food is served everyday and guests are always greeted by a warm welcome on arrival. Lough Gara is a small, tranquil lake that lies to the south west of the Curlew Mountains in beautiful South Co. Sligo. Lough Gara got its name during 13th to 17th century when the O’Gara family owned the surrounding lands. According to legend, the golden gates of the Moygara Castle are hidden within the lake.

‘My Sligo’ is an initiative from South and West Sligo Tourism network which encourages people to share what Sligo means to them. ‘My Sligo’ celebrates peoples’ individual connection to Sligo and the diversity of what the county offers to people.
